Decadent and Depraved

Hunter S. Thompson described the Kentucky Derby that way in 1970, when he invented Gonzo journalism in his first-person account of the festivities.  Reading it today, one can’t help but notice how similar it is in style to the blogs, like this one, that litter the internet.  In honor of the good doctor’s work, I’m starting a new feature (and this one will actually be weekly, damnit):

INFIELD EXPERIENCE of the WEEK

This is a first looks at the The Infield, home of the cheap seats. Notice how nobody is actually looking at the horses in the top right corner. In the coming weeks, Ill delve deeper into its mysteries!
